HOUSTON, Texas: Next year there will be a racing race between two remote control cars on the moon, and interestingly, these cars were designed by British high school students.

In October next year, the vehicles will be launched by SpaceX’s Falcon Nine rocket and will be housed inside a ride developed by the first private company to land on the moon. The vehicles are designed to run on a specific path in a low-gravity environment equal to one-sixth of the Earth on the moon.

The competition is organized by a company called Moonmark Space, a scientific and entertainment company. The design of the car is still final and the selected team will work with Frank Stephenson who has designed the famous car called McLaren PV. In this way, the world’s first car will run on the surface of the moon.

For the first eight weeks, there will be competitions between students from different colleges and between six teams of five members each. In the end, there will be a race on the moon between the two cars of the two surviving teams. These challenges include the stages of e-gaming, drone racing and space commercialization.

The competition is called Mobile Autonomous Prospecting Platform (MAP). The purpose is to use the moon for a wide range of purposes and to raise awareness of space science and technology among the younger generation. Both racing vehicles will be landed on the moon in a Nova Sea Lander (big ride) developed by Antioto Machine, a Houston-based company. The ride will be sent from the SpaceX Falcon Nine rocket to the moon.

Under the competition, each car weighs only five and a half pounds, but sending it to the moon is a very expensive prescription, as it costs 4 544,000 to send one pound of goods to the moon and 10 million to send two cars. shall be.

The Nova Sea Lander is the world’s first lunar orbit to land on a flat surface of the moon, the Oceanic Procellarum. Before that, however, the two lunar vehicles will compete in Houston, where their performance will be reviewed.
