The previous provincial government of the PTI led by CM PERVEZ Khattak launched the Peshawar bus rapid transit project on October 20, 2007, with the claim that the project would be completed in six month
The project however still in construction and the cost spiraled from Rs 49million to 69million due to the frequent changes in its design the Peshawar metro bus project has no proper drainage system with the absence of manholes clearing the Drains is not possible due to which overflowing occur on the road in normal days and especially during rain this is causing problems in the smooth flow of traffic pedestrian to avoid overflow during normal days as well as in the rainy season I urge the authorities concerned to visit and recheck the drainage capacity clear to existing choked manholes and construct new ones whatever required.
