US Foreign Committee chief lashed out at ‘Chinese encroachment’ on Indian border

As the deadlock between Indian and Chinese troops continues to prevail in eastern Ladakh, the US House Foreign Affairs Committee on Monday expressed concern over China’s attitude towards India.

As the deadlock between Indian and Chinese troops continued to prevail in eastern Ladakh, the US House Foreign Affairs Committee on Monday expressed concern over China ‘s attitude towards India. He appealed to China to follow the rules and resolve this tense situation in a diplomatic manner. Issuing a statement on behalf of the committee head Elliot Engel, it was said that China’s aggressive attitude on the tension created by India and China’s LAC is particularly worrying. China is showing by its attitude that it is threatening its neighbours rather than following international rules. 

“I strongly urge China to respect norms and use diplomacy and existing mechanisms to resolve its border questions with India.”

He said that the same kind of rules have been made for all the countries so that we in a world who work in the right direction. The committee has appealed to China to resolve the tension with India in a diplomatic manner. 

Let it be said that tensions have been continuing between the Indian and Chinese armies in Pagong So, Galvan Valley, Demchak and Daulat Beg Oldi for more than three weeks. In the disputed area, the armies of both countries are deploying arms on one side and on the other hand, there is an attempt to resolve the dispute through both military and diplomatic level.
