CM Honhaar Scholarship for BS Students Apply Now

Under the directive of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the registration process for the Honhaar Scholarship Program has officially begun. In alignment with the global job market’s requirements, the program will award scholarships to 30,000 students annually across 68 disciplines. These merit-based scholarships will be available to students from 50 public universities, 16 medical colleges, and 131 graduate colleges. Additionally, students from top private institutions such as LUMS, FAST, COMSATS, NUST, Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute, and seven other universities will also be eligible for the Honhaar Scholarship.
A total of 130 billion rupees in scholarships will be distributed over eight years through this program. Over the next four years, 120,000 students are expected to benefit from these merit-based scholarships. Interested students can apply online at honhaarscholarship.punjabhec.gov.pk. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif expressed her satisfaction, stating that she has fulfilled a promise made in her inaugural speech. She emphasized that the scholarship program is a significant step towards ensuring access to quality education for deserving and talented students, removing financial barriers, and helping them pursue their dreams of higher education.

Eligibility Criteria:
To qualify for the Honhaar Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be domiciled in any district of Punjab
- Be under 22 years of age on the application deadline
- Have a family income below Rs 300,000 (Affidavit required)
- Be enrolled in selected disciplines at eligible universities/colleges for the fall 2024 session, including newly admitted MBBS and BDS students
- Minimum academic requirements:
- Medical Colleges: ≥80%
- Top Private Universities: ≥80%
- Public Universities: ≥75% for Sciences, ≥70% for Arts and Social Sciences
- Graduate Colleges: ≥65% for Sciences, ≥60% for Arts and Social Sciences
