The Punjab government, led by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has unveiled the CM Punjab Laptop Scheme 2025, a transformative initiative to distribute free laptops to high-achieving students across the province. CM Punjab Laptop Scheme 2025: Registration Program Details
A total of 50,000 state-of-the-art Core i7, 13th-generation laptops will be distributed to deserving students. The distribution is planned as follows:
- University Students: 20,000 laptops
- College Students: 14,000 laptops
- Technical & Agricultural College Students: 4,000 laptops
- Medical & Dental College Students: 2,000 laptops
Notably, 32% of the laptops are allocated to students from South Punjab to ensure equitable access.
Eligibility Criteria for CM Punjab Laptop Scheme 2025
The scheme targets high-achieving students enrolled in public sector institutions across various fields, including:
- Computer Science
- Medicine & Dentistry
- Engineering
- Sciences
- Social Sciences
- Business & Management
- Languages
- Veterinary Medicine
- Agriculture
Special consideration is given to minority students and top performers in secondary and higher secondary examinations.
Application Process
Unlike previous initiatives, there is no need for students to apply online. Educational institutions will compile data on eligible students and submit it to the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Punjab for verification. The final list of selected students will be released after this process.
Distribution Timeline for CM Punjab Laptop Scheme 2025
The distribution process is scheduled as follows:
- Registration Begins: February 2025
- First Shipment Arrival: January 2025
- Distribution Starts: After Ramadan (April/May 2025)
The first shipment of laptops has already arrived in Pakistan, ensuring the distribution process remains on track.
