ISLAMABAD: JUI-F leader and National Assembly member from Kurram district Munir Khan Orakzai has passed away.
Munir Khan Orakzai suffered a heart attack last night which proved fatal. Munir Khan tested positive for corona on April 24 and has been in quarantine ever since. His funeral prayers will be offered today at 3 o’clock in Kurram district.
On May 15, he attended a meeting of the National Assembly during which he suddenly fell ill and after an initial medical examination, he was rushed to the hospital by ambulance. He was also kept on a ventilator at the Hayatabad Medical Complex in Peshawar for some time.
Expressing deep sorrow and grief over the demise of Munir Khan Orakzai, President Dr Arif Alvi and other political and social personalities prayed that Allah Almighty grant mercy to the soul of the deceased and grant patience to the bereaved family.
