Decision to send cases against those responsible for the sugar crisis to NAB and FIA

ISLAMABAD: The federal cabinet has decided to send cases against those responsible for the Sugar crisis to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).

A special meeting of the Federal Cabinet was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Imran Khan in which the report of the Commission of Inquiry on Sugar Crisis was presented. In the meeting, the Cabinet decided to make public the report of Sugar Inquiry Commission. And it has decided to send it to the FIA. In addition, the cabinet has decided to implement the conflict of interest law soon.

Decides to set up criminal cases against sugar mills

According to sources, the cabinet has decided to set up criminal cases against the sugar mills involved in tax evasion and further investigation into the flour crisis report.

According to sources, the cabinet members said that the business of personalities in the government leads to conflict of interest, on which Food Security Minister Syed Fakhr Imam proposed to implement the law of conflict of interest. It has been decided to implement the law immediately.
