Google Pakistan’s 44500 Scholarships for Students Apply Now

Google has made a significant commitment to Pakistan by granting 44,500 scholarships to young people who wish to master in-demand digital skills. These awards would enable students to enrol in Google Career Certificates (GCC) courses, which were established last year.

The remark was given during an event attended by Syed Aminul Haque, Minister of Information and Telecommunications, and emphasised Google’s commitment to provide fair opportunities for people of all backgrounds to learn digital skills and pursue professional prospects.

Farhan Qureshi, Google Pakistan Country Director, emphasised the company’s commitment to contribute to an inclusive digital economy in Pakistan via various programmes, products, and services. He also emphasised the need of digital skills in Pakistan, which has the third-largest freelance economy in the world.

The organisation has also added three new courses to its programme: Business Intelligence, Advanced Data Analytics, and Cybersecurity.

Minister Haque expressed his full support for Google’s efforts to teach digital skills to Pakistanis via the GCC programme. He emphasised that this programme is compatible with the ministry’s goal of creating an environment that harnesses the limitless potential of the digital economy while providing fair opportunities to all Pakistanis. He lauded Google’s pledge to provide half of all scholarships to women, recognising the significance of gender equality in digital progress.

Naeem Ur Rehman

He is an environmental scientist, currently pursuing an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master's in Marine Biological Resources. With strong skills in Biostatistics, GIS, R programming, and advanced analytical techniques, he has conducted research on phytoremediation, air pollution bioindicators, and marine biodiversity.
