According to Shaza Fatima Khawaja,Government plans to Distribute 1 million laptop to Students the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Youth Affairs, the Prime Minister Youth Programme would reinstate the laptop initiative this year. The SAPM stated during a recent news conference that the initiative seeks to distribute 100,000 computers to kids.

Marriyum Aurangzeb, Federal Minister of Information and Broadcasting, made the news during a press conference.

The Prime Minister (PM)Laptop Programme, according to the details, would distribute over 100,000 laptops to eligible students around the country.

“There will be a 50% female representation, and transgender people will be accommodated in the programme,” she remarked when discussing the Prime Minister Laptop Scheme.

Meanwhile, she announced that the Balochistan quota had been quadrupled. She said, “Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will launch the scheme soon.” She did not, however, provide a specific schedule or date for the program’s reinstatement.

She expressed sadness over the previous government’s decision to end the scheme and emphasised the importance of laptops in allowing adolescents to continue their studies and work remotely amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The computers supplied by the previous government, led by the Pakistan Muslim League-N, proved critical in ensuring continuity in the face of adversity.

In addition, as part of its efforts to create a startup culture among the youth, the government has established the National Innovation Award. This award is intended to recognise and promote new and creative ideas and efforts.

The government’s commitment to encouraging young participation in healthy activities. Approximately 54,000 children engaged in various sporting events throughout the past year. Hockey trials were held in twenty-five regions, while volleyball trials were held in twenty-eight.

Furthermore, the SAPM announced that registration for football trials has begun nationally, giving young people from all around Pakistan the opportunity to display their skills in the sport.

These projects collectively show the government’s emphasis on empowering and engaging young, as well as offering educational opportunities, stimulating innovation, and promoting a healthy and active lifestyle.
