GREAT Scholarships give Pakistani students a great chance to study at UK universities. Great scholarships, with UK higher education institutions participating, are sponsored by the UK Government through the GREAT Britain Initiative and the British Council. Pakistani students will be given 27 scholarships for various subjects. For a one-year postgraduate course, each scholarship is worth a minimum of £ 10,000 in tuition fees.
By sharing your experiences and encouraging the importance of studying at a UK university, we want you to serve as an ambassador for UK higher education. You may also be invited to participate with other scholars in a networking event, to share experiences so that we can capture impressions of studying in the UK.

Requirements for GREAT Scholarship of UK
- A citizen of Pakistan.
- Undergraduate degree to join a postgraduate (taught) programme at a UK university
- Motivated and willing to pursue a UK postgraduate course
- Academically Active in the field with work experience or established interest in the subject area
- Meet the UK university’s English language requirements
- We expect scholars to attend lectures and tutorials and participate in extra-curricular activities
How to submit an application for GREAT Scholarship
- On the ‘find a scholarship’ tab, philtre the universities mentioned by Pakistan, and click on the university page to access detailed information on the scholarships on offer.
- Apply for individual scholarships according to the guidelines offered on the web pages of each university scholarship.
- The deadline for applying for a GREAT Scholarship varies by college. Please see the institution page for information regarding the deadlines of specific organisations.
- Good scholars will be told about the results of their applications by individual universities.
- Scholarship grants will be provided by individual universities to successful scholars after registration.
