HEC Announces Registration Schedule for Higher Education Aptitude Test (HAT) – The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has released the registration schedule for the Higher Education Aptitude Test (HAT) conducted by the Education Testing Council (ETC). The HAT test is designed for the award of all HEC scholarships and admission to MS/M Phil programs in public and private universities of Pakistan. The registration deadline for HAT is May 10, 2023, and the test is tentatively scheduled for May 28, 2023. Any changes to the test date will be communicated through the official HEC website and the ETC portal.
The HAT test offers a uniform, accessible, and transparent selection process. Applicants who have already applied for MS/MPhil admission or HEC scholarships and those who intend to apply for future scholarship schemes advertised by HEC-sponsored Pakistani universities can register for the test.
To apply for the HEC Aptitude Test (HAT), visit the ETC website and complete the two-step application process, including profile completion using the “My Profile” section and application submission using the “Higher Education Aptitude Test” links. Note that only submitted applications will be considered for the test, and applications in SAVE or INCOMPLETE mode will not be accepted.
The test fee for HAT is PKR 2000/- per candidate, and applicants must deposit the fee amount in Habib Bank Limited Account No. 1742 7900 1334 01. The fee challan can be downloaded from the ETC registration portal, and all candidates are required to upload the submitted fee challan, duly stamped by an HBL branch, while completing the application form.
It is mandatory to bring the original applicant copy of the deposit slip on the test day, along with your Original CN IC/Original Passport, to sit in the test.
