HEC Punjab Starts Receiving Applications For ITGs

Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) has commenced taking applications for a new round of international travel grants (ITGs) from the qualified faculty members, non-teaching staff and PhD scholars of provincially planned public and private sector universities and government sector universities of Punjab

The PHEC has so far awarded a total of 481 international travel grants (ITGs) to the scholars in 29 gatherings. The PHEC granted international travel donations to government and private sector universities and public sector colleges of the province.

The donation included the registration fee, airfare, accommodation charges and daily living expenses up to a particularised limit.

In order to help awardees in accomplishing their travel arrangements flowing, the PHEC awarded 70 per cent of the granted money in advance whereas 30 per cent of the residual amount was reimbursed upon their return. Scholars can apply for ITG by the PHEC web portal where the full requirements and procedures were presented.

He is an environmental scientist, currently pursuing an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master's in Marine Biological Resources. With strong skills in Biostatistics, GIS, R programming, and advanced analytical techniques, he has conducted research on phytoremediation, air pollution bioindicators, and marine biodiversity.
