Undergraduate Studies Admission Test (USAT) 2023 registration times have been made public after an announcement made by the Higher Education Commission (HEC). The application period for the USAT will close on May 10, 2023. The HEC USAT is scheduled to take place on May 28, 2023, according to the current plan.
The Undergraduate Studies Admission Test (USAT) will be administered by the Education Testing Council (ETC), on behalf of the Higher Education Commission, in order to evaluate students’ qualifications for entry into the first year of undergraduate study at institutions located across Pakistan. The structure of the USAT is based on that of the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), and it encompasses all of the undergraduate entry-level material for the fields of engineering, medicine, information technology, management, and social sciences. After successfully completing the USAT, students would be entitled to apply to any university that accepts the SAT.
Who may submit an application to take the Undergraduate Studies Admission Test (2023)?
- Students who have successfully completed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or an education equal to Grade 12
- Students who have taken the final examination and are currently waiting for the results to be released
- Students who have completed 12 years of schooling or an education comparable in any field

- In the context of the USAT, a qualifying score is defined as one that is more than or equal to 50. A perfect score of 100 on the USAT is the highest possible score that someone can get.
At first, it is suggested that the examination take place at the same time in four of Pakistan’s most important cities once every three months. However, if there is a need for more testing, it can be accomplished. On the ETC website, the annual test calendar will be made available for download, and applicants will be able to register for the exam via an online registration portal.
The admissions policies of individual universities will continue to be made public in an impartial manner. Students will fill out applications to institutions and provide the score card they received on the USAT ETC to be included in the method that determines merit based on weightage.
How to Submit Your Application for the HEC USAT 2023

- In the event that you have any questions or concerns when completing the online registration, please go to onlinehelp.hec.gov.pk or one of the HEC regional offices for assistance.
- The application submission process consists of two steps: first, the completion of your profile through the online portal’s “My Profile” section; and second, the submission of your application using the “Undergraduate Studies Admission Test” links located on the menu panel located on the left-hand sidebar of the online portal.
- Applications that have been SUBMITTED will be the only ones accepted for the USAT Test; applications that are either saved or incomplete will not be entertained.
- Undergraduate Studies Admission Test (USAT) candidates must pay a fee of PKR 1,750/- in order to take the examination. The application fee shall be deposited into the Habib Bank Limited Account no. 1742 7900 1334 01 by the candidates. The Higher Education Commission is the name of this account.
- When submitting an application using the ETC online registration portal, applicants are needed to upload a paid and scanned challan form that has been officially stamped by any HBL Branch. This must be done simultaneously with the completion of the application form.
- The price for the exam cannot be refunded and cannot be transferred to another person.
