USAT Syllabus 2022

The USAT curriculum focuses primarily on knowledge and skills, and is therefore anticipated to assess what a test-taker learns in secondary and upper secondary school and what is necessary for success in an undergraduate degree.

The majority of the exam is meant to assess the candidate’s cognitive ability. The USAT consists of the following areas of knowledge, skills, and behaviour:

1. Verbal Reasoning

This component tests a candidate’s ability to analyse textual material, synthesise knowledge, and identify word-concept links.

2. Quantitatve Reasoning

It evaluates the ability to comprehend fundamental arithmetic, algebra, equations, geometry, vectors, graphs, statistics, and problem-solving principles. It is believed that quantitative reasoning skill is the most accurate predictor of future success.

3. Subject Expertise in the Academic Discipline

This portion assesses the student’s understanding of the material covered in his respective academic discipline. It is mirrored in the USAT version name for the discipline in question.

4. Essay Writing Skills

You may compose an essay in either English or Urdu. It is an evaluation of the verbal abilities and communication skills of the pupils. The essay’s organisation, arrangement of ideas, logical analysis, language, and grammar each have distinct weights.
