Karachi: Cricketer Fakhar Zaman has been conferred the honorary rank of Lieutenant by the Pakistan Navy.
According to Pakistan Navy spokesman, a ceremony was held at the Naval Headquarters to confer the honorary rank of Lieutenant on Pakistani cricketer Fakhr Zaman in which former cricketers and Fakhr Zaman’s family including military and civilian officials and PCB officials participated.
Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi conferred the honorary rank of Lieutenant on Fakhr-e-Zaman at the Naval Headquarters. Fakhr Zaman joined the Pakistan Navy’s Operations Branch in 2007 as a sailor, while during his career Fakhr Zaman won several awards for Pakistan Navy in the field of cricket.
According to the Pakistan Navy spokesman, Fakhr Zaman represented Pakistan Navy in the International Defense Cricket Challenge Cup held in Australia in 2012 and was named the best player of the tournament.
