KARACHI: A team of foreign experts investigating the PIA plane crash has returned to France.
According to Raabta News, an 11-member team of Airbus experts arrived in Karachi from France on May 26 to investigate the Karachi plane crash. During their stay, the foreign team collected all necessary evidence from the scene and also inspected the runway.
Members of the French team left Karachi Airport for France on a special flight AIB 1889. The French team, along with other evidence, also carried a flight data recorder and a cockpit voice recorder, which will be decoded at Airbus headquarters. The decoding of the flight data recorder and cockpit voice recorder will reveal the conversation that took place in the flight before the crash. In the light of this evidence, a final report of the plane crash will be prepared.
It may be recalled that on May 22, a PIA flight from Lahore to Karachi crashed into a population during landing, killing 97 passengers, including eight crew members.
