According to the provincial officials, educational facilities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) will stay closed until Saturday due to the ongoing protests.
The PTI Chairman and former Prime Minister Imran Khan was taken into custody on the grounds of the Islamabad High Court, which ignited the protests.
Due to the “emergency conditions” present in the nation, KP Education Advisor Rehmat Salam said that all private and public educational institutions will be closed throughout the province till Saturday.
Additionally, he declared that tests held under the direction of the Education Board will be scrapped.
The authorities decided to close educational institutions because they thought that keeping them open in the current climate would be dangerous to students’ safety and security.
The KP administration advised the demonstrators to be respectful of others’ property and to keep their protests peaceful.
