NAB has requested for the arrest of Yousuf Raza Gilani and Abdul Ghani Majeed and said that Abdul Ghani Majeed and former Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani should be sent to jail on judicial remand.
Deputy Prosecutor General NAB Sardar Muzaffar, while opposing the exemption from attendance, said that non-bailable warrants should be issued against the accused Nawaz Sharif and he should be arrested and produced before the court.
The court issued a bailable arrest warrant for former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and granted Asif Ali Zardari’s request for exemption from attendance today and ordered him to ensure his attendance at the next hearing. The court adjourned the hearing, ordering all the accused, including Asif Ali Zardari, to appear on June 11.
ToshaKhana case
According to the case, Asif Zardari and Nawaz Sharif illegally obtained vehicles from Yousuf Raza Gilani. Asif Zardari as President also received cars as gifts from Libya and UAE and he used the cars himself instead of depositing them in the treasury.
Nawaz Sharif was not in any post in 2008 but he was given vehicles from the application box and these vehicles were paid by Abdul Ghani Majeed with fake accounts.
