Everyone in the world is seeking peace; I often think about what kind of peace a human wants: the life free from war, away from worries, the entity having inner peace or there is any other meaning of peaceful living. What is peace, or what kind of peace we are seeking? What makes one’s life peaceful? The peace enforced by weapons of wars, found in a grave or by securing the life of a slave. I am not referring to the absolute or universal fantasies and fanatic dreams of having a sudden revolution in human but straightforward peace. The pure order is that makes one’s life worth living on earth; one can hope and dream, the experience that allows us to grow and improve his and his children’s growth and gradual evolution of man having concrete roots of peace.
Real peace is the product of many minor acts that move the individual or the entire society towards absolute peace. “One small step for man, one giant leap for humanity “. Let take an example of a 5-year-old child whom you give video games to play what do you think he is learning from them; is he knows moral values, forgive someone’s mistake, or sharing is caring? No, he is learning how to handle a gun and kill someone according to the aim of that game, which becomes his own goal to achieve. Here you are making the child of today and the man of tomorrow accept the violence, tolerant against violence, murders, and bombs, wars, fight, guns, and bullets are the part of humanity. So, not astonishing to condemn wars or we are going towards actions because these are at the macro level of our video games.
If at the same place, you give him books or take him to the library or reading corner instead of the TV and computer and you read him stories. Let him unfold the lives in the book and get familiar with life’s phenomenon. He will know how life rewards the good and punishes the evil, how the peoples belonging from different regions have different cultures, mindsets, and religion, and let him know the right way of life. Now, you are creating a child that has humanity, honesty, justice, and awareness of self-peace in his life. I claim here that give me a book and pen I will provide you a peaceful citizen because the pen is mightier than a sword, texts are mightier than guns.
One can dream and hope but should not start living in a fairy tale in which everyone has everything because reality does not have everything, and this makes one’s life difficult and creates a disruption in the life of an individual and the surrounding. Keep yourself satisfied. Make yourself calm, and it will lead you to genuine peace.
If we want to live in peace than important we believe and trust others. We not think oneself but also others.
Right!!!
