The Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC, formerly known as the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council) is a statutory regulatory body in Pakistan that keeps track of medical practitioners. Its main task is to create a consistent minimum quality of basic and advanced credentials in medicine and dentistry across Pakistan by regulating access to the PMC registry of medical practitioners and suspending or removing members as needed. Along with the Higher Education Commission, it also establishes the educational requirements for Medical Colleges in Pakistan by conducting MDCAT.

The National Medical & Dental College Admission Test (NMDCAT) (or National MDCAT) is an annual standardised computer-based test for admission to MBBS and BDS degree programmes in Pakistan and worldwide. It is a requirement for admission to all public and private medical and dentistry schools in Pakistan.
