PMC Reacts to ‘Leaked’ MDCAT Questions on Social Media

The Pakistan Medical Commission has stated that the MCQs for the Medical and Dental Colleges Admissions Test (MDCAT) that are being distributed on the Internet are forgeries.

It provided an example of the leaked questions and stated that they are not in the ‘MDCAT test question bank’ and were spread by “miscreants to mislead pupils and generate panic.”

The committee urged applicants to disregard such deceptive posts while studying for the Medical and Dental Colleges Admissions Test (MDCAT) and to concentrate on the syllabus.

In a subsequent tweet, the Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) addressed issues concerning the MDCAT application, attempting the questions, and the final results.

It was stated that applicants will be permitted to skip a question and retake it later within the time limit. They can also modify and amend their replies if necessary.

“When the exam is finished, the final score will be provided based on the answers selected by the student,” it stated.

The PMC stated that any final answers chosen before the test timer runs out would be completely recorded and scored.

In answer to a query regarding internet problems, it was said that the MDCAT is not dependent on an open external internet connection, and that internet problems will not impede the procedure.

The MDCAT is being administered across the country and will conclude on September 30.
