Higher Education Commission (HEC) Islamabad said that all Pakistani universities will use the same test to let people into their first-year programmes. Undergraduate Studies Admission Test (USAT) 2022 will be given three times a year, and universities will accept USAT scores. The last day to sign up online for the HEC USATT 2022 test is August 12, 2022, and the test is likely to be on August 28, 2022.
The Undergraduate Studies Admission Test (USAT) will be given by the Education Testing Council (ETC) on behalf of the Higher Education Commission. This test is needed to get into the first year of college in Pakistan. The USAT is based on the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), and it covers all known undergraduate-level subjects in Engineering, Medicine, IT, Management, and the Social Sciences. After passing the USAT, the students would be able to go to any college, just like the SAT.
Who can take the Undergraduate Studies Admission Test USAT 2022?
- Students who have a Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or its equivalent/Grade 12 education
- Students who took the final exam and are waiting for their scores
- Students with 12 years of schooling or the equivalent in any subject
How HEC USAT Test is Divided
PART 1
- Total Marks in USAT: 100
- Time: 100 minutes
- Verbal Reasoning: 35
- Quantitative Reasoning: 40
PART II
- 40 minutes are given.
- Essay writing skills (in either English or Urdu, 400-500 words): 25
Any score above or equal to 50 on the USAT will be taken into account. The best score on the USAT is 100, which is the most anyone can get.
At first, it is planned for the test to take place at the same time in all of Pakistan’s major cities every three months. But if more tests are needed, they can be set up. The test schedule for the whole year will be posted on the ETC website, and candidates can sign up through an online registration portal.
Universities will keep announcing their own admissions plans on their own. Students will apply to colleges and send in their USAT ETC score cards, which will be used in a weighted formula to decide who gets in.
How to Sign Up for the HEC USAT in 2022
- To sign up, go to http://etc.hec.gov.pk.
- If you have any questions about online registration, go to onlinehelp.hec.gov.pk or one of the HEC’s regional offices.
- Application Submission has two steps: filling out your profile in the “My Profile” section and submitting your application through the “Undergraduate Studies Admission Test” links on the online portal’s menu bar on the left.
- Only applications that are SUBMITTED will be considered for the USAT Test. Applications that are SAVED or INCOMPLETE will not be taken into account.
- Undergraduate Studies Admission Test (USAT) costs each candidate PKR 1,200/-. The fee will be paid to Habib Bank Limited Account No. 1742 7900 1334 01 by the candidates. Higher Education Commission is the name of the account.
- When filling out the application form at the ETC online registration portal, applicants have to upload a paid and scanned challan form that has been stamped by any HBL Branch.
- The test fee isn’t refundable and can’t be given to someone else.
