Before taking the Law Graduate Assessment Test (LAW-GAT), which is required to apply to the Bar Council for enrolment as an Advocate, law graduates from international universities or institutions that are recognised by the HEC/PBC must pass the Special Equivalence Examination.

Interested law graduates with degrees from HEC/PBC-recognized international universities/institutions are encouraged to submit applications online. Applicants must have earned a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from a foreign university or other organisation recognised by HEC or the PBC. On May 28, 2023, there will be a HEC SEE Law Test.

Only multiple choice questions will be used in the test. Probably on May 28, 2023, the test will take place. Any modifications to the test will be announced on www.hec.gov.pk and http://etc.hec.gov.pk.

The Roll Number Slip will be available for download from http://www.hec.gov.pk for applicants who register using the HEC online registration process, and it will also be delivered to their registered email address one week prior to the test date. The enrolled applicants will receive an email or SMS with the date, time, and location of the exam.
