Talk of corruption, misuse of power, and exploitation of resources, for personal gains by the powerful elite, is nothing new to the generation of this century; but, globally, similarities and patterns involved in the execution of acts of thuggery and exploitation remain same. Though faces, facts, type, and positions do change slightly, acts of Brutality while enjoying utmost and unlimited power turns out to be the same, whenever any dirty fool caught Red-handed. Such an incident I am reporting today where
Emilio Lozoya, the former head of Petroleos Mexicanos Mexico who himself faces corruption charges, alleges former President of Mexico Enrique Peña Nieto and his treasury secretary Luis Videgaray
of directing a scheme of kickbacks and embezzlement directly from the president’s office.
Emilio Lozoya provided evidence proving that former president also used the state-owned Pemex as a conduit to “fulfill promises made during the (2012) campaign,” among other allegations he makes in a leaked 60-page document whose authenticity was confirmed by Mexican authorities Wednesday.
Lozoy wrote in his testimony that they created a scheme of corruption in the federal government, in which the common denominator was that all the people who supported in some way, the presidential campaign had to be recompensed or repaid
usually in the shape of cushy government contracts.
Lozoya also accused Peña Nieto and Videgaray of extortion, fraud and embezzlement.
Lozoya was arrested in Spain in February and extradited to Mexico in July to face charges he took over $4 million in bribes from Brazilian construction giant Odebrecht. But Mexican prosecutors announced they had reached an agreement with Lozoya in which he could avoid jail in return for testifying about corruption in Peña Nieto’s 2012-2018 administration.
I find human nature has Similarities Within. Now and then, there are people of power, caught Red-handed, either they are from Mexico, India, Italy, Pakistan or any other Part of the world; but one thing remains common, that they never understand the utmost and universal reality that everyone goes empty-handed, whosoever goes, from this, materialistic and artificial, world.
