The Prime Minister National Innovаtiоn Awаrd Round-II Begins On Thursday, Round II of the Prime Minister’s National Innovation Award (PMNIA) began with a series of transformative activities aimed at promoting innovation and entrepreneurship among Pakistan’s greatest minds.

The Idea Pitching Training Boot Camp is the initial phase after shortlisting the top 250 candidates. This intensive two-day boot camp provides the selected applicants with an exceptional opportunity to hone their pitching abilities and boost their original business concepts. The boot camp allows for both in-person and online participation, enabling inclusivity and accessibility for brilliant people from throughout the country.

Following the enlightening boot camp, the applicants will compete in the thrilling Pitching Competition on July 22, 2023. Participants will present their revolutionary company ideas and compete for coveted recognition in front of a renowned jury comprised of experts from the startup ecosystem and diverse industries.

The National Award Ceremony at the National University of Science and Technology (NUST), Islamabad, will mark the culmination of this extraordinary journey, with the top 50 startups being distinguished and recognised for their outstanding contributions to innovation and entrepreneurship.

The top ten startups will receive a grant of Rs. 1 million, while the remaining top 40 will receive a grant of Rs. 0.5 million. Furthermore, the top 50 firms will have the option of participating in a 6-month incubation programme and receiving an additional Rs. 1 million to help them expand.

The final award ceremony will be followed by a huge event, Investor Connect, on July 25, 2023, where the top 100 startups from PMNIA Rounds I and II will be Recognise.This exceptional event also provides a perfect opportunity for emerging businesses to engage with prominent investors from Pakistan and overseas, facilitating additional support and potential collaboration for their creative ideas.

The PMNIA is a testament to the government’s dedication to cultivating an innovative culture and empowering Pakistan’s youth to be torchbearers of progress. The PMNIA is being implemented by the Higher Education Commission (HEC). The programme serves as a beacon of hope for the country’s aspiring entrepreneurs, providing them with unique possibilities to turn their dreams into reality and significantly contribute to the country’s growth.
