  1. Meta tags do not matter

There was a time when the ranking of different sites in the search engine depended only on meta tags such as meta title, meta description and tags. But that time was long ago. As advancements have been made in technology, search engine sites are starting to rank according to the quality of the content and the needs of the people, rather than meta tags. In such a situation, many people will tell you that you should stop using Meta tags.

But this would be very bad advice. Even though the importance of meta tags is not as much as before, but even today, they also matter a lot. So my suggestion for you would be that you should use meta tags in every post.

  1. Only to pick up a .com domain, traffic will come to your blog.

This is a very big myth and it is very important to burst it. It is suggested on most blogs that you only take a .com domain for your blog or website and apart from this, if you take another domain, traffic will not come on your blog. This is not the case at all.

Whatever domain extension you take, it has nothing to do with traffic from the search engine. Domain extension means more for your customers or visitors. The thing is that you should get a domain name extension that can be easily remembered in the minds of people. Now usually, .com with all websites is installed .com is settled in people’s minds. But this does not mean that traffic will not come on other domain extensions like .pk, .co, .coffee etc. Their value is like .com. Domains such as .in are sometimes better than .com for country-specific websites.

  1. Backlinking or internal linking does not matter.

Nowadays many people will give you very detailed suggestions about the content, but together you will say that backlinking or internal linking does not matter because Content is the King. I agree that content is king but if you do internal linking and backlinking in a natural way, then it is a plus point of the quality of your content. Therefore, it is also a myth that you do not get any SEO benefit from backlinking or internal linking.

  1. The new the content, the higher it will rank.

As things are renewed, the content also becomes old and in its place new content is needed. Now as if someone’s blog content is 2-3 years old, but he is still ranking first number, it does not mean that if you write a new content and publish it, your content will be ranked.

Regardless, the content of the blog that is now ranking first is old, but there are many more factors which have plus points for it to rank that blog first number. That is why by renewing the content only, nothing happens.

  1. Hiring SEO Agency will increase your blog ranking

It is also a big myth that if you hire an SEO agency to do SEO for your blog or website, then the ranking of your blog will increase. This is not at all sure. Yes, I do not even say that you will not benefit. Some agencies are right, then help you SEO your blog. But see SEO is a time consuming and long term result giving process, so in such a situation you will not get any benefit from hiring an SEO agency. You will still work hard.

  1. Guest Blogging does nothing

To do SEO, people also do many black hat ways like guest posting on irrelevant blogs, creating spam backlinks etc. In such a situation, people who make natural backlinks by guest blogging in the right way, then somewhere in their mind, if they are guest blogging, they may also be treated as spam and may not get any benefit from them. Ho. See, this is not the case, if you do guest posting in a natural way in the right way, then you will definitely have benefits.

  1. Doing keyword research does nothing

Many people do not do keyword research and those who write on their blog as content and then sit and see why the traffic is not coming to their blog. Now think for yourself if you will write something on your blog that people are not searching for, then where will the traffic on your blog come from?

Therefore, let me tell you that the very first step of SEO is to do keyword research for the content.

  1. Your blog rankings will also be good with Paid Search.

Many digital marketers will tell you that if you advertise through Google’s paid search compaigns such as Google Adwords, then the website you advertise will give it search engine benefit and its ranking will also increase.

Do you seriously think Google will do this? Google says that its intent is: see what people want, all else will follow themselves. In any case in Google search results, only good results will show which it decides with its algorithms. In such a situation, even if you do paid campaigns, you will not get any organic search benefit at all.

  1. More content length leads to more traffic

More content is a plus point for SEO, but it does not mean that if you have more content then only you will be able to rank on the first number. Along with more content, its quality and many other factors are what matter. By writing more content or writing more posts, you will not be able to achieve anything.

  1. Social Media sharing doesn’t matter

Now when you talk about bringing traffic from the search engine, many people think that social media has nothing to do with it and social media sharing will not have any benefit in SEO. This is also a very big myth.
