In the present-day world, we often get hit by computers. Have you ever looked at its keyboard carefully? If you look at the keyboard of your desktop or laptop, you will find that its F and J buzzer has a highlight on the bottom. Have you ever thought why these two buttons only have a bulge on the rest? Come, let us explain why this happens on these buttons only…
Home Row in Keyboard
Actually, the middle line on a computer keyboard is called ‘Home Row’. We first start with this line while learning typing. In this line you get buttons of letters A, S, D, F, G, H, J, K and L. If you look carefully, you will find that the buttons F and J are in the centre of the keyboard and are highlighted in these two buttons. This is because when you type, your fingers will know which button they are on. While typing, it is important to keep your eyes on the screen, and these highlights let you know the position of your fingers.
Fingers Position on Home Row of Keyboard
While learning typing, you should first learn to type with five fingers on ‘Home Row’. Your left and right-hand fingers should be positioned at F and J respectively. By typing in the same way slowly, you are able to type quite fast without looking at it one day. So remember, whenever you start learning typing, both your index fingers are on the sides of the F and J buttons.
