Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) publishes the annual rankings for the universities of the World. National University of Science and Technology (NUST). Islamabad and Pakistan Institute of Engineering and applied sciences (PIEAS),Islamabad are now ranked in the top 400 universities by the QS Rankings 2022.
No other Pakistani university could make its place in the top 500 universities except NUST and PIEAS. Quaid-e-Azam University is ranked at 511 by the QS, and it is among the top 500 universities in the Global Times list. The leading high-class university of the country, Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) is successful in getting the position of 701-750 in the QS list.
Except for these universities, all other universities including the University of the Punjab, COMSATS, and University of Engineering & Technology (UET) are present between 801-1000 in the worldwide list.
In the end, An American top-class University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) remains successful in grabbing the top position in the QS Rankings 2022 and then the second position was gone to Stanford University and Harvard University was in the third position.
